I am Gabriel Izcovich, a journalist born in Barcelona. In recent years, I have specialized in social issues. I enjoy creating debates to help guide our society toward a better future.

I have a degree in Journalism and Corporate Communication from the FCRI Blanquerna. I also have a master's degree in Documentary Film from the ECIB. I speak English and French, and am learning German.

I have worked for
Crónica GlobalRAC1, Agencia EFE, El Món, Fundació Catalana per a la Recerca i la Innovació and PCatS Comunicació, among others.

I recently spent three months in Israel, to cover the war with Hamas that began on October 7, 2023. I went as a freelancer, working as a correspondent for
Radio Mitre (the leading Argentine broadcaster), and publishing material in Spanish media and on its own channels.

The goal was to contribute to the peace process that many of us are currently fighting for, and that many have fought for in recent decades. I also wanted to understand reality with my own eyes and explain it in my own words.

I want to change the world, and I try to do so through journalism. I'm passionate about everything related to injustice, conflict, and revolution. I love going out on the streets to photograph and record demonstrations, and to talk to the people who participate in them.

I love writing. And I'm often told that I'm very good at it. I'm not afraid of the emergence of artificial intelligence, just as I believe no one should have been afraid of the emergence of computers a century ago, or of the wheel 5,000 years ago. It's the same as with VAR in football: the problem isn't the technology, but who uses it.

I don't like the way many of the things around me are, and so I try to do as much as I can to change them. I really like taking on projects and making the projects I'm working on my own.
