The Madrid striker is breaking many records in a season that is beginning to look historic

God save by Tomás

God save your gracious king. Long live your king. God, save your king! Send him victories. Happiness and glory. Longevity to reign them. Because it is leading them on the right path. Because he is leading them. Because it is bringing good crops to the town. The blue and white king emeritus Raúl I already has a descendant. Raúl II. RdT. God, save de Tomás!

If the expected promotion that Espanyol is forging now is finally consummated, the one who the blue and white people will have to revere above all is Raúl de Tomás. That first-rate killer. That killer who plugs in every ball that goes around the rival area. That killer who scores goals from home. That killer who went down to go back up, and who is breaking many records.

The tremendous figure of 20 goals scored in 31 games played places him second in the top scorer in the category. Only the sportinguista Djurdjevic surpasses him, with a goal difference. RdT, who with little more than one goal scored every two games has a projection of 25 goals, looks in the rearview mirror at important names such as the flaming star of UD Almería Umar Sadiq, the incombustible Rubén Castro from Cartagena or the footballer also from Almería José Corpas.

Thomas Octopus

RdT is the second top scorer, but he is the most complete of all. Of the five mentioned, he is the only one who has scored goals of all colors. Literally. He has scored with the foot of play, a penalty, a foul and a header. Raúl de Tomás is the second-rate octopus.

However, de Tomás is the one who reaches the final stretch of the season the most in tune. This is demonstrated by the doublets scored consecutively in the last two games, against Fuenlabrada and Albacete. With eight days to go, the 26-year-old gunman's loader still has plenty of bullets left. He has already shown it In the Spanish Second Division there are two ready gunmen, doublets that, in fact, already place him as the club's top gunner in the silver category! That Espanyol has spent little time in it does not mean that RdT has already entered its history.
